Community Service Project
We don’t know what school will be like in the 20-21 school year, but we know it will be different, and many of our students will need support. We encourage our club members to join a PROMISE COUNCIL “Shout-Out List” so that we can help remove educational barriers for some of our most vulnerable students. Pick a school that you care about from the list below, and get your name on the list! Email vickie.k.mahrt@gmail.com with questions.
The history of Promise Councils began in 2009 with one elementary school. Over the years, by adding additional Promise Councils at Schools, hundreds of children have benefited from the support of caring adults in our community. The main goal of a Promise Council is to remove barriers to learning so that all students, regardless of socio-economic status, have the opportunity to achieve success and graduate from high school.
Our most effective tool is the shout out process. We request donations for specific items by sending out a shout out through email. We have a shout out list at every location and volunteers can sign up for any or for all of the Promise Council schools. If you would like to join this community of caring adults you can email the chairs below or log on to www.promisecouncil.org
To be added to the “all schools” community shout out list email promisecouncils@gmail.com.
